China's swimming team announces roster for the Short Course World Championships

On December 5, the Chinese swimming team announced the roster of athletes set to compete at the World Short Course Championships in Budapest. A total of 33 Chinese swimmers will represent the country at the event, including 15 men and 18 women. Qin Haiyang and Tang Qian Ting will lead the squad, while key athletes like Zhang Yufei and Pan Zhanle were not included on the official entry list.



The specific list of 33 contestants is as follows:
Female athletes: Chen Luying, Chen Yijing, Gong Zhenqi, Kong Yaqi, Liu Mengyang, Liu Shuhan, Lu Xingchen, Luo Mingyu, Qian Xin'an, Tang Qianting, Wu Ruoxin, Liang Xiaolan, Yu Jingyao, Zhang Jingyan, Zheng Huiyu, Zhou Yanjun, Zhu Leiju, Xie Ziqi
Male athletes: Chen Shengxin, He Yubo, Huang Zhiwei, Jiang Chenglin, Li Taiyu, Liu Wudi, Qin Haiyang, Tao Guannan, Wang Ziming, Wang Gukailai, Xu Yizhou, Xu Yifan, Yu Zongda, Zhao Jiayue, Zhao Heting



The World Swimming Championships (25 meters), also known as the Short Course World Championships, are held every two years. The 17th edition is set to take place in 2024, with Budapest, Hungary, serving as the host city.
This short-course World Championships will run for a total of 6 days, from December 10 to December 15. Each day features two sessions: the morning session is dedicated to preliminary heats, while the evening session hosts the finals for each event.
