In the ATP250 Chengdu Open men's singles final, 19-year-old Chinese prodigy Shang Juncheng, making his first-ever appearance in a tour-level final, defeated Musetti 7-6(4), 6-1 to claim his first career tour-level title.
In the ATP250 Hangzhou men's singles final, Zhang Zhizhen, who reached his first tour-level final, narrowly lost to former US Open champion Cilic 6-7(5)/6-7(5), falling just short of claiming his maiden ATP title.
The WTA 1000 China Open women's singles draw has been unveiled, with Sabalenka and Pegula seeded No. 1 and No. 2, respectively. The remaining top eight seeds include Paolini, Gauff, Zheng Qinwen, Navarro, Kvitova, and Ostapenko. A total of 14 Chinese players will compete in the main draw.

The men's singles draw for the ATP500 China Open was unveiled on September 24, following the women's singles lineup. Top seeds Sinner and Alcaraz head the field, with the remaining top eight seeds being Medvedev, Rublev, Dimitrov, Musetti, Khachanov, and Bublik. Four Chinese players have earned direct entry into the main draw.
