The Wimbledon draw sets the stage for a potential blockbuster matchup, with Sinner and Djokovic possibly locking horns early on.

The 2025 Wimbledon men's and women's singles draw has been released, with the tournament set to take place from June 30 to July 13. Top players from both the men's and women's fields will be in action, promising plenty of exciting moments on court.

Men's singles draw, top half:

Top seed Sinner will face fellow Italian Nardi in the first round, with a potential second-round matchup against either Jun-Hsin Tseng or Bublik. His likely third-round opponent could be Shapovalov, while Musetti looms as a possible quarterfinal rival. Sinner has been in stellar form this season and is eager to claim his first Wimbledon title—though the top half of the draw is packed with formidable opponents, making every round a serious challenge.

Sixth-seeded Djokovic will face Frenchman Muller in the first round, with a potential second-round opponent being either Britain's Evans or Clark. Although Djokovic is a seven-time Wimbledon champion, this year’s draw includes several strong home players in the early rounds, which could add an extra layer of challenge as crowd energy and match tempo come into play. If he manages to advance smoothly, his semifinal clash against Sinner would undoubtedly be a blockbuster showdown—like a collision between two planetary forces.

Additionally, fourth-seeded Draper will face Argentina's clay-court specialist Baez in the first round and could also run into 28th-seeded Bublik, the dark horse of the grass-court season. Meanwhile, fellow tough competitor Djokovic from the same quarter will undoubtedly pose a significant challenge on his path to advancement.

Men's singles draw, bottom half:

Defending champion Alcaraz will face Italian veteran Fognini in the first round, marking the latter's final appearance at Wimbledon. Alcaraz is determined to achieve the historic "Triple Crown" at Wimbledon, and based on the draw, his main rivals in the same half of the bracket could include No. 3 seed Zverev, as well as Fritz and Rune.

Medvedev will face French player Bonzi in the first round—a favorable draw, as he avoids several top grass-court players—and is considered a strong contender to reach the semifinals. Meanwhile, Zverev will take on Frenchman Lenducknese in the opening match and could even face "grass-court powerhouse" Berrettini later on. As for Rune, his first-round matchup will be a tough one against Chilean power hitter Jarry, who earned his spot through qualifying.

Women's singles draw, top half:

China's top player, Zheng Qinwen, enters the tournament as the No. 5 seed, making her first-ever appearance in a Grand Slam event seeded inside the top eight on grass—a historic milestone in her career. She kicks off her campaign with a tough opening-round matchup against Barbora Strycova, the world No. 1 in doubles and a two-time grass-court winner who has previously defeated Zheng Qinwen twice. If she advances, her second-round opponent could be four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka, while her third-round match might see her face off against No. 31 seed Klara Zinkova. In the round of 16, she could potentially clash with either No. 12 seed Jelena Ostapenko or No. 20 seed Jeļena Ostapenko, depending on how the draw unfolds. Meanwhile, if Zheng Qinwen manages to reach the semifinals alongside Aryna Sabalenka, the two stars will square off in a thrilling showdown in the semis.

World No. 1 Sabalenka will face qualifier Branstine in the first round and could potentially meet last year’s quarterfinalist Sun LuLu in the second round. Her third-round opponent might be former Wimbledon champion Vondroušová or rising British star Raducanu, while a tough fourth-round matchup looms against two-time Wimbledon semifinalist Svitolina. Sabalenka has been in solid form this season, though she fell short in the finals of both the Australian Open and French Open. At Wimbledon this time, she’ll be eager to break her recent Grand Slam final jinx and finally secure a victory on the sport’s biggest stage.

Women's singles draw, bottom half:

Second-seeded Gauff and third-seeded Pegula are each guarding the bottom half of the draw. Pegula will face Cochrane in the first round, with a potential matchup afterward against either Wimbledon champion Maria or Bencic. Her fourth-round opponent could be Alexandrova, who excels on grass courts.

Andreeva struggled in her warm-up matches and faced emotional challenges, but made a strong debut at Wimbledon 2019 by reaching the fourth round. Now, she’ll face Ostapenko in the first round, with Azarenka potentially awaiting her in the second round.

Additionally, veteran Zhang Shuai, who advanced from the qualifying rounds, will face Danilovic in the first round. Zhu Lin, competing as a protected-ranked player, will take on Kudermetova in her opening match, while another Chinese player, Yuan Yue, will face Lis in her first-round encounter.

The 2025 Wimbledon Championships promise plenty of suspense and excitement, whether it’s the clash between men’s tennis giants and rising stars, or the fierce battles among China’s top female players and the competitive showdowns among the world’s elite—let’s all tune in to this thrilling tennis spectacle!
