The relay event is a mixed-gender competition, with teams consisting of two men and two women. In this 4-person event, athletes are grouped into four categories based on the sum of their ages: 100–149 years, 150–199 years, 200–249 years, and 250+ years.

(II) Application Requirements

1. Number of entries

Each person is limited to registering for 3 individual competition events, while there’s no limit on the number of relay events or the age of athletes participating.

2. Registration Results

Registration Time: Your best result achieved in this event during previous swimming competitions, or your personal best time recorded during self-tests conducted within the last six months. To facilitate the scientific organization of competition groups and lanes, please be sure to provide your registered time at the time of registration.

(III) Physical Health Requirements

Swimming competitions are a physically demanding sport that place high demands on the participants' physical condition. Competitors should be in good health and have a solid foundation of long-term swimming practice or training. Participants are encouraged to register based on their own physical condition and individual abilities. The organizing committee requires all competitors to sign the "Voluntary Participation Health and Safety Liability Agreement" (see Appendix 1) and provide proof that they do not suffer from any of the following medical conditions:

1. Congenital heart disease and rheumatic heart disease;

2. Hypertension and cerebrovascular diseases;

3. Myocarditis and other heart diseases;

4. Coronary artery disease and severe arrhythmia;

5. Diabetes with either high or low blood sugar levels;

6. Individuals with other medical conditions that make them unsuitable for this sport, as well as those who are otherwise unfit to participate in the competition (e.g., pregnant women, individuals with severe injuries, or participants who have consumed excessive alcohol before the event, etc.).

In the competition, any personal injury caused by individual physical conditions or other personal reasons shall be the sole responsibility of the participant.

6. Competition Rules

(1) The competition will follow the latest swimming rules approved by the Chinese Swimming Association.

(II) All competition events will feature a single final round, with rankings determined solely by performance. In cases of tied scores, the tied athletes will share the same ranking, and the next position will be skipped entirely.

(III) The order of competition events will, in principle, be arranged according to the following sequence: starting with women’s events before men’s, followed by older age groups before younger ones, and finally based on the number of registered participants.

(4) For individual categories with fewer participants, they may be combined with other categories to compete simultaneously, with results calculated separately for each.

7. Admission Ranking and Awards

(1) Ranking for Awards: The top eight individuals in each age group will be awarded, while the top six teams will receive recognition in the relay race.

(II) Team Awards: The top six teams in the overall team standings will receive uniformly designed trophies presented by the Organizing Committee.

(III) Individual and Relay Awards: Athletes finishing in the top three individual places will receive medal certificates uniformly produced by the organizing committee. The top three relay teams will be awarded certificates, while athletes placing fourth and beyond will receive electronic certificates.

(IV) Breaking Records: Athletes who break records in individual events will receive a record-breaking certificate (electronic version) produced by the Organizing Committee.

(5) Master Certification Awarded: This event will draw on domestic and international experiences in awarding adult swimming master-level certifications, carefully studying and developing its own set of short-course swimming master-level standards. Athletes whose competition results meet the event’s specific master-level criteria will receive a uniformly produced, electronic master certificate from the organizing committee.

(6) Sports Icon Award: Each event will select one "Sports Enthusiast Dedicated to Pursuing Health" as the Sports Icon Award recipient.

(7) Best Referee Award: Each tournament will recognize one male and one female referee as the "Most Passionate About Sports, Committed to Health" Award winners.

8. Organization and Registration

(1) This event encourages swimming (winter swimming) associations, swimming clubs, or representative teams from relevant enterprises, institutions, and organizations to form teams and register for participation. Individual entries will not be accepted. (However, if any individual athletes wish to compete, they are advised to first contact a team directly; if they are unable to do so on their own, the organizing committee can provide assistance.) For relay events, participating teams must register as a collective unit. Each team must have at least 6 registered members, including one coach and one team leader, who may also serve as athletes themselves.

(II) Application Deadline: Applications must be submitted by August 15, 2025.

(3) Registration Method: The competition will use the digital event platform "Shuzhi Shisaitong" for online registration. All participating teams are requested to scan the QR code in the attachment (see Attachment 2) or visit https://pc.vswim.cn and search for "The 7th 'Sports for Health Cup' Short-Track Swimming Masters Tournament" to complete the registration by August 15. If you encounter any issues during the registration process, feel free to contact Teacher Zheng at 17695457989. For mini-program-related questions, please reach out to the administrator at 15854768050.

(4) When athletes register to compete, they must provide the organizing committee with their personal ID card, insurance documents, and the "Voluntary Participation Health & Safety Commitment Form." Athletes aged 70 or older must also submit a "Family Member Informed Consent Form" (see Appendix 3). During the competition, athletes are required to present their ID cards to the registration judges.

(5) Athletes who successfully register and are assigned to a competition group but fail to participate without valid reason (except in cases where health is affected by injury or illness, or when they must temporarily take on critical emergency tasks) will face appropriate penalties.

(6) Each team leader is responsible for event coordination, team organization, and contest appeals on behalf of their respective teams. Team leaders are required to attend the pre-match technical meeting half a day in advance.

9. Event Funding and Special Contribution Benefits

(1) Competition Service Fee

Each participant is required to pay a competition service fee of 125 yuan (including personal accident insurance). Please make the payment by August 15 through the Shuzhi Shisai Tong registration mini-program, organized by the team leader of each delegation.

(II) The organizing committee will purchase personal accident insurance on behalf of each participating athlete.

(III) Special preferential treatment for participants who have made exceptional contributions to their country: To implement the Party and State policies aimed at honoring and supporting individuals recognized with meritorious awards and honors, it has been decided—after careful consideration—that participants who have received recognition from the CPC Central Committee, the State Council, or the Central Military Commission; winners of the National May Day Labor Award; recipients of the National March 8th Red-Banner Honor; second-class heroes or higher from the People's Liberation Army; recipients of the National Second-Class Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress or higher; outstanding national teachers; or champions/record-breakers in world, continental, or nationally recognized sports events—and who hold other nationally acclaimed titles—will be exempt from all accommodation and meal expenses during the event. (Athletes eligible for these benefits should present relevant supporting documentation upon arrival for competition registration.)

(IV) Emergency medical care and basic healthcare services will be provided during the conference; however, participants are responsible for covering the associated costs.

(5) If athletes encounter special circumstances such as illness or injury that prevent them from participating in the competition, they must submit a medical certificate from a hospital rated Level II or above to the organizing committee to be eligible for a refund or extension of their entry eligibility. In cases where the competition is postponed or suspended due to force majeure, athletes may directly apply for a refund or an extension of their entry eligibility. However, no withdrawal or refund requests (except for illness or injury) will be accepted after the registration deadline has passed.

10. Other

The organizing committee will issue further announcements in the coming months regarding event details, including information on accommodation hotels, recommended transportation routes, and the official race handbook. Please stay tuned for updates!
