China Open concludes as Alcaraz and Gauff claim men's and women's singles titles, respectively.

The 2024 China Open concluded on October 6, with Carlos Alcaraz (ATP 500) and Coco Gauff (WTA 1000) claiming the men's and women's singles titles, respectively.

On the final day of the China Open, the Diamond Court hosted the Championship Night, where former US Open champion and tournament No. 4 seed Coco Gauff delivered a stellar performance, showcasing exceptional serve and backhand skills to sweep past Marketa Vondrousova 6-1, 6-3, clinching her first-ever China Open women’s singles title.

In the men's singles final, Alcaraz battled fiercely for 3 hours and 21 minutes, clinching victory in a thrilling tie-break in the deciding set. He staged a stunning three-set comeback to defeat Sinner, claiming his first China Open men's singles title.

Alcaraz ended Sinner's 15-match winning streak and his undefeated run at the China Open, becoming the second Spanish player to claim the title at the tournament. This marks Alcaraz's 16th tour-level title, and he also made history as the first player to win an ATP 500 event on three different court surfaces.
