Singapore World Aquatics Championships: China's Synchronized Swimming Team Wins Second Gold Medal

On July 20, the artistic swimming team free routine event at the 2025 World Aquatics Championships kicked off, and the Chinese team—featuring Chang Hao, Cheng Wentao, Dai Shiyi, Feng Yu, Li Xiuchen, Lin Yanhan, Xiang Bingxuan, and Xu Huiyan—delivered a stellar performance to claim the gold medal with a score of 348.4779. Japan and Spain took home the silver and bronze medals, respectively.

In the previous day's team free routine preliminaries, the Chinese team secured first place overall with a score of 338.2167, earning their spot in the final. During the final, China took to the stage as the 12th team to perform. The squad retained the same signature theme, "Universal Gravitation," that carried them to victory at the Paris Olympics. While the choreography and technical difficulty had evolved since their Olympic triumph, the Chinese team delivered an exceptionally polished performance, ultimately claiming the top spot on the podium. This victory marks the second gold medal won by the Chinese synchronized swimming team at this year's World Championships.
