Amy Purdy, at 19 years old, lost both her legs due to illness, became deaf in her left ear, and also lost her spleen and one of her kidneys. Yet, with unwavering determination, she not only got back on her feet but went on to achieve feats that many would consider impossible—winning the World Ski Championships three times in a row.
