To better promote swimming and encourage greater participation among young people, the 8th Xiamen-Jinmen Youth Swimming Competition—serving as a complementary event to the 13th Xiamen-Jinmen Strait Crossing—will be held on June 1–2, 2025, at the White Dolphin Swimming Pool in the Xiamen Olympic Sports Center, Xiamen City, Fujian Province. The competition rules are now being forwarded (see attached file for details).

I. Purpose of the Event

(1) Participating Organizations
Nationwide, organizations such as schools, associations, and clubs(Registration is open to participants from Hong Kong and Macau as well.) Individual entries are not accepted for this competition.

(3) Participating athletes must submit a "Voluntary Participation Declaration Form" signed by themselves, their guardian, and their coach, and pay the entry fee to complete registration.
(IV) Physical Health Requirements for Athletes
Swimming competitions are a physically demanding sport that place high demands on participants' fitness levels. Competitors should be in good health, and athletes can choose to register based on their own physical condition and capabilities. The organizing committee recommends that athletes undergo a thorough health check at a qualified medical facility beforehand. Athletes with any of the following conditions or illnesses will not be permitted to compete:
1. Congenital heart disease and rheumatic heart disease;
2. Hypertension and cerebrovascular diseases;
3. Myocarditis and other heart diseases;
4. Coronary artery disease and severe arrhythmia;
5. Diabetes with either excessively high or low blood sugar levels;
6. Individuals unsuitable for this sport.
(5) Practice good health precautions
1. All participants are personally responsible for their own health.
2. Participants and their guardians should closely monitor the athletes' physical health. If any discomfort or symptoms arise, please stop the competition immediately.
(6) Participants shall be personally responsible for any personal injury or property damage caused during the competition due to their own physical condition or other personal reasons.
(7) Young athletes participating must ensure they have a solid foundation of long-term swimming training and practice, as well as the physical fitness and health required to successfully complete the distances and swimming styles of the events they are entering.
(8) Participants must register within their designated age group and are not permitted to skip a group.
(9) To set a positive example for young athletes, anyone with tattoos is required to cover them before the competition (using concealers or foundation, for instance); otherwise, they will not be allowed to participate.
(10) Each participant may purchase their own insurance; however, the organizing committee will provide each competitor with a personal accident insurance policy. Participants are required to accurately complete their registration information when signing up.
7. Competition Rules
(1) The competition will follow the latest swimming competition rules approved by the Chinese Swimming Association.
(II) All competition events will have only one final round., rank according to scores; in case of ties, the tied positions share the same ranking, and the next position is skipped.
(III) There is no limit on the number of participants each team can register., Each person is limited to registering for 2 individual events (excluding relay events).
(IV) Each participating team is limited to one entry per relay event in each age group.One relay team.
(5) Athletes must present their original identification card, Taiwan Resident Permit for Traveling to and from the Mainland, Hong Kong or Macao Resident Permit for Traveling to and from the Mainland, or passport to the registration judge before being allowed to compete; otherwise, they will not be permitted to participate.
(6) Anyone who assumes another's identity or commits fraud, all competition results of the individual are canceled.
VIII. Reward Measures
(One)Top performers in individual and relay events, by age group8 participants will receive certificates of competition results, with the top three awarded custom-made medals.
(Two)All participants will receive a participation certificate uniformly produced by the Xiamen-Jinmen Strait Crossing Event Organizing Committee.

X. Arbitration and Adjudication
Arbitrators, chief referees, and judges are selected by the Xiamen Swimming Association.
11. The organizing unit reserves the right to interpret this regulation; for matters not covered herein, further notice will be provided.
