The skiing legend Candide Thovex, the master who "can't help but bow down in awe" in the snowboarding world!

As the ultimate legend in the world of freestyle skiing, Candide Thovex has always been a god-like figure. Renowned for his unique and groundbreaking approach to freestyle snowboarding, he’s best known for his iconic "One of Those Days" trilogy—truly a textbook-perfect showcase of his artistry and skill.

Candide Thovex was born in France in 1982. He started skiing at the age of 2, joined a ski club by 5, and went on to claim first place at the French Youth Ski Championships at just 14. By 15, he had already secured sponsorship from Quicksilver, the renowned outdoor gear brand, officially launching his professional skiing career.

He had been enjoying a smooth and successful journey—until, at the age of 25, he hit rock bottom. While attempting to conquer "The Big Bertha" super-jump ramp, his slow speed caused him to land awkwardly on flat ground, resulting in a fractured L1 vertebra. Doctors warned him that he might never ski again.

A year later, despite his doctor’s advice, Candide once again returned to the scene. It was at this very moment that he began filming and producing his own ski movie. Notably, his ski film "Few Words" went on to win "Ski Magazine's" awards for Best Actor, Best Documentary, and Best Cinematography, as well as the prestigious "Full Throttle" award for Overall Excellence.

The "One of Those Days" series is a ski short film he shot at the La Clusaz ski resort in France, told from a first-person perspective.
