The commendation decision highlighted that at the 33rd Summer Olympic Games and the 17th Summer Paralympic Games, our country's athletes kept in mind the trust placed in them by the Party and the people. They demonstrated tenacity, fought fiercely, strived to excel, lived up to their mission, and fully showcased their talents, achieving both outstanding athletic performances and remarkable achievements in sportsmanship. In doing so, they earned glory for the motherland and its people, embodying the indomitable spirit and vibrant, uplifting demeanor of the Chinese nation. Their efforts have inspired patriotic enthusiasm among Chinese communities—both at home and abroad—including countless workers—and have invigorated the national spirit while rallying collective determination to move forward with renewed vigor.
The All-China Federation of Trade Unions encourages the honored collectives and individuals to remain grounded, avoid complacency, and continue striving with renewed vigor. They should vigorously uphold the Chinese sports spirit and the Olympic ideals, further enhancing the overall strength of competitive sports while simultaneously boosting nationwide fitness initiatives and vibrant youth sports programs. This will help make new contributions toward building a robust sports nation.
Furthermore, the union calls on workers across the country to rally even more closely around the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core. Workers are urged to steadfastly follow the Party’s guidance, remain committed to their duties, pursue excellence in everything they do, and strive relentlessly for top performance and selfless dedication. By taking the exemplary athletes as role models, workers are encouraged to stay at the forefront of societal progress, paving the way for comprehensive national development and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation—achieving new milestones and forging unprecedented brilliance along the journey ahead.
