Zhang Yufei has a new role!

On the afternoon of March 25, Olympic champion Zhang Yufei returned to her alma mater, Nanjing University of Sports, to deliver a keynote speech for her younger peers. Liu Hongming, Party Secretary of Nanjing University of Sports, introduced thatZhang Yufei has been appointed as the Vice Dean of the Swimming Academy at Nanjing Sport Institute.

On the scene,She clearly stated that she will compete in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.Winning a medal would be a milestone moment. At the same time, she hopes more children can enjoy sports and suggests that during break times, the "post-2000s" generation take over, bringing even more exciting and engaging physical activities into schools.

Zhang Yufei said in an interview that, due to her preparations for the National Games and the Los Angeles Olympics, many official responsibilities haven’t yet been assigned to her—but she plans to step up and take full ownership of her duties in the future.


Publicly available information shows that Zhang Yufei was born on April 19, 1998, in Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province. She is a Chinese swimmer and an internationally recognized elite athlete, currently competing for the Chinese National Swimming Team and the Jiangsu Provincial Swimming Team.


In July 2024, Zhang Yufei competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics, earning 1 silver and 5 bronze medals across six events, thus setting a Chinese swimming record with a total of 10 Olympic medals (2 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze).
