On the evening of August 1, the swimming events at the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore awarded medals in five different categories.
Women's 100m freestyle final,Dutch athlete Marrit Steenbergen successfully defended her title with a time of 52.55 seconds, while Australian swimmer Molly O'Callaghan finished second in 52.67 seconds, and American star Torri Huske claimed the bronze medal in 52.89 seconds. A young 19-year-old Chinese athleteCheng Yujie finished seventh with a time of 53.34 seconds.
Men's 200m breaststroke final,Ran Haiyang of Team China executed a stunning side-to-side surge in the eighth lane, surging past U.S. swimmer Potts and Japanese star Watanabe Ippei in the final 50 meters. Men's 200m backstroke final,Hungarian athlete Kocs delivered a dominant performance, clinching the gold medal with a time of 1:53.19—shattering both the European record and the season's best mark, securing Hungary's first-ever gold at this year's World Championships. South African star Pieter Coetze followed closely behind in 1:53.36, earning the silver medal and simultaneously setting a new African record. Meanwhile, French athlete Ndiaye·Brua finished with a time of 1:54.62 to win the bronze medal.
Women's 200m breaststroke final,American athlete Kate·Douglas swam a time of 2:18.50 to claim the gold medal, setting a new meet record. Neutral athlete Chikunova earned the silver with a time of 2:19.96, while South African athlete Corbett and neutral athlete Zmushka tied for bronze, finishing in 2:23.52. Yu Jingyao advanced from the preliminaries.2:24.33, finishing 10th overall, missed out on the semifinals.
Men's 4x200m freestyle relay final,The Chinese team won the silver medal with a time of 7:00.91, breaking the Asian record.The British team won the gold medal with a time of 6:59.84, while the Australian team claimed the bronze with 7:00.98.

The Chinese team, consisting of Fei Liwei, Ji Xinjie, Wang Shun, and Zhang Zhanshuo, clocked a time of 7:06.15 in the preliminary round, finishing sixth and advancing to the final. In the final, the Chinese squad made a lineup adjustment: Ji Xinjie swam the first leg, and the team completed the baton exchange in sixth place. Pan Zhanle took over on the second leg, helping China climb into second position—but by the time the baton was passed from the second to the third swimmer, the team was already trailing Team GB by 0.26 seconds. Wang Shun briefly put China back into the lead during his leg, but he slowed down slightly in the final stretch as the relay concluded. Zhang Zhanshuo then delivered a stunning finish in the last 50 meters, surging past Australia and the U.S. teams one after another to claim the silver medal.

The Chinese team's four swimmers recorded the following split times: Ji Xinjie – 1:46.22, Pan Zhanle – 1:44.41, Wang Shun – 1:46.08, and Zhang Zhanshuo – 1:44.20.


Women's 800m Freestyle Heats, Li BingjieSwimming a time of 8:23.23,The 7th-place finisher advanced to the finals. Yang Peiqi, with a time of 8:27.89, finished 9th overall and unfortunately missed out on the finals.

Men's 100m Butterfly SemifinalChinese athletes failed to advance. Xu Fang finished 23rd overall in the heats with a time of 51.90 seconds, while Chen Jun'er placed 25th overall in the heats at 51.95 seconds, both bowing out in the preliminary round.
Women's 200m Backstroke SemifinalPeng Xuw ei topped the rankings with a total time of 2:07.76, while Liu Yaxin finished seventh at 2:09.04—both advancing to the final round.
Men's 50m Freestyle SemifinalChinese athletes did not participate in the competition for this event.
Women's 50m Butterfly SemifinalWang Yichun finished 12th overall with a time of 25.68 seconds, missing out on the final. In the preliminaries, Wu Qingfeng clocked 26.18 seconds, placing 20th overall and failing to advance to the semifinals.
