This year's competition saw Zidi participate in the 200m butterfly and the 200m individual medley.In the 400m individual medley and the women's 4x200m freestyle relay—four events in total—she achieved personal bests in all three individual events, finishing fourth in each. She was just one step away from the podium in every race. Notably, despite falling behind, Yu Zidi never lost heart; instead, she always managed to rally at the very end, delivering a powerful final push to close the gap.Her mental fortitude was nothing short of astonishing. Having competed in the preliminary round of the relay event, Yu Zidi clinched the bronze medal, becoming the youngest-ever medalist in World Championship history.

Man4×100-meter medley relayThe final,Neutral athlete Team B clinched the gold medal with a meet-record time of 3:26.93, while France took home the silver with 3:27.96, and the U.S. claimed bronze in 3:28.62.

In the morning's preliminary round, the Chinese team—consisting of Wang Shun, Qin Haiyang, Xu Fang, and Pan Zhanle—finished fourth in their heat with a time of 3:32.69, placing ninth overall and narrowly missing out on the final by just 0.15 seconds. During the race, after the first leg swimmer Peng Xuwei handed off the baton, China initially fell to sixth place. However, Tang Qianting, who took over as the breaststroke leg, played a crucial role by making decisive moves—overtaking Japan, Canada, and the neutral team—helping China climb from sixth all the way up to third. Finally, Zhang Yufei and Cheng Yujie worked tirelessly to hold onto that position until the very end. In the preliminary round, China’s lineup included Wan Letian, Yang Chang, Yu Yiting, and Wu Qingfeng, posting a time of 3:56.70 and finishing fourth overall.

The U.S. team broke their own world record, claiming the gold medal with a time of 3:49.34. Australia took home the silver with a time of 3:52.67.
